Role Overview

  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions with an emphasis on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family caregivers to ensure a seamless care experience.
  • Equip patients and families with educational resources to encourage progress between therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally assess and provide intervention for inpatient speech therapy cases, guaranteeing continuity in patient care.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in line with all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer engagement.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY) for individuals who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Credentials

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
