  • Provide education for patients and families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in inpatient speech therapy assessment and intervention as needed, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
  • Maintain thorough and precise documentation adhering to all relevant guidelines.
  • Engage in professional development through ongoing education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
