Description

  • Comprehensively assess patients ranging from young children to seniors, utilizing both standardized testing and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that focus on timely objectives while also addressing overarching communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that target language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing enhancements.
  • Foster collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop a seamless care experience.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions, ensuring a continuous care pathway for your patients.
  • Keep precise and timely documentation according to relevant state, federal, and organizational policies.
  • Engage in ongoing education and peer interactions to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech therapy.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of employment.
