Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Holy Cross, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Manager of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology to join our team!

Schedule: Full-time day shift, 8-hour shifts. Some weekends and holidays may be required.

Responsible for coordinating the Physical Medicine clinical program on the clinical units at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital (HCGH). Ensures the efficient and effective operations of the Physical Medicine services in the clinical units at HCGH. Coordinates and facilitates communication between PT/OT/Speech and the medical staff. Facilitates the regular communication of necessary information between PT/OT/Speech and other disciplines including but not limited to case management, social services, nursing, and medicine.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and re-evaluates patients with physician's orders or therapy intervention within the scope of their discipline. Coordinates that physician orders are carried out and evaluations are completed in a timely manner by the physical medicine disciplines.

  • Utilizes appropriate tests, tools and techniques to identify problems, assess patient situations and develop functional goals, treatment plans and recommendations.

  • Instructs and educates patient, family and staff in appropriate exercises, home programs, discharge plans and other treatment techniques to fulfill patient goals.

  • Provides treatments/modalities in a safe and efficient manner to achieve identified goals in accordance with state, professional and department guidelines.

  • Delegates treatments and tasks to licensed therapists, licensed therapy assistants, and supportive ancillary staff in an equitable and consistent manner in accordance with Maryland State law.

  • Consistently maintains required documentation for patients records, reimbursement, PPS, MDS, communication and regulatory guidelines. Consistently complies with departmental and hospital guidelines to provide the highest quality of documentation in accordance with department systems improvement processes.

  • Applies the principles of growth and development over the life span and assesses data reflective of the patients' requirements relative to his/her age specific needs as demonstrated through observation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current licensure by the State of MD

  • CPR certified within the probationary period

  • B.S. degree in PT, OT, or SLP

  • M.S. degree preferred.

  • 3 years of experience in a leadership role.

  • 3 years of experience of clinical PT, OT, or SLP.
