Description

  • Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Create individualized treatment strategies focusing on immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing improvement.
  • Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and families to continue progress beyond clinical encounters.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the healing process.
  • Keep precise and timely records that comply with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaborative opportunities with colleagues.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of joining.
