Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups using recognized assessment tools and observational insights.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies that target both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design cohesive care approaches.
  • Provide essential patient and family education to facilitate progress outside of scheduled therapy sessions.
  • Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition throughout the patients care journey.
  • Uphold precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards.
  • Remain updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer networking.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained.

Certifications

  • Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of hire.
