Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract A school-based Speech Language Pathologist role is available for the 2025-2026 academic year at an elementary school in Stafford, VA. This part-time contract position (up to 30 hours per week) provides in-person speech and language services to support students with special education needs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct individualized speech and language assessments, screenings, and therapy focused on articulation, language, and auditory skills. Serve as a collaborative member of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Consult and provide advisory support to school personnel regarding speech and language concerns. Maintain ongoing communication with staff, families, healthcare providers, and community partners to monitor student progress. Assist in creating effective language programs for regular and special education settings. Support students' communication skills to promote academic success and social integration. Qualifications: Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License. Experience or training in pediatric speech and language therapy, preferably within a school setting. Strong knowledge of the special education process, including assessment and eligibility procedures. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and community members. Commitment to working with students with diverse special education needs. Effective communication skills including active listening and collaboration. A sense of humor and a lighthearted approach to foster a positive work environment. Schedule & Location: Monday through Friday, part-time (up to 30 hours per week). Work performed on-site at an elementary school in Stafford, VA. Position duration: Start ASAP through May 21, 2026.
