Pediatric School-Based SLP

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide coverage for a 5-week leave at an elementary school setting. This contract position, spanning the school calendar year (CSY), begins on September 2nd and concludes at the end of September. The role involves working Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, serving approximately 45 students on the caseload. Ideal candidates will hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC) and possess experience in healthcare, pediatrics, teletherapy, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), and school-based speech-language pathology. Strong ability to manage a high-volume caseload within a school environment supporting elementary-aged children is essential. Responsibilities include: Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments for elementary students Delivering individualized therapy sessions tailored to student needs Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with school and state regulations Utilizing teletherapy techniques as needed Qualifications: SLP certification with CCC credential Experience with pediatric populations and school-based settings Familiarity with teletherapy service delivery Completed or in progress CFY preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload of approximately 45 students Location: Detroit, MI This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SLP to provide vital services during a short-term assignment.
