Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that hone in on communication skills, language acquisition, fluency development, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to devise integrated care strategies that cater to holistic patient needs.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and their families to reinforce progress outside the therapy room.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to provide seamless care throughout each patient's recovery journey.
  • Ensure meticulous and timely record-keeping that adheres to state, federal, and institutional guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for candidates who are not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be secured within 30 days of starting.
