Grades Served: K-12 (Primarily elementary with some high school students)
Position Type: Contract, September 2025 - June 2026 This position offers the opportunity to support a diverse caseload of approximately 28 students through assessment, individualized therapy, and collaborative efforts with educators and families. The role focuses mainly on elementary-aged children, with some work involving high school students. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs Provide direct speech-language therapy services Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are in place Monitor student progress and modify interventions as needed Participate actively in IEP meetings and assist in setting goals Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of IEP processes and applicable educational laws Location: Auburn, NY (Elementary School Setting) Benefits and Work Environment: Competitive hourly pay Scheduled school hours aligned with academic calendar, including school vacations Guaranteed work hours This position provides a professional setting to make a significant impact on student success throughout the academic year.
