Description

• Create individualized treatment strategies that focus on immediate objectives as well as ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Engage in teamwork with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to foster a coordinated approach to care.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to enhance overall progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in sporadic inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain a consistent treatment thread throughout care.
• Ensure thorough and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational requirements.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
