Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, providing exceptional physical therapy services in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This part-time role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating therapy care plans tailored to help patients achieve their optimal functional levels.

Job Summary

Deliver comprehensive physical therapy care including patient intakes, evaluations, goal discussions, care plan implementation, medication prescriptions, patient education, and progress monitoring. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans using assessment data and problem-oriented record formats.
  • Ensure therapy plan compliance and modify treatments based on patient progress.
  • Educate and counsel patients, caregivers, and families on safety, equipment use, and home care techniques.
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare disciplines as needed.
  • Regularly evaluate therapy effectiveness, consulting with physicians and rehabilitation managers to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all relevant health and safety standards.
  • Maintain professional skills through ongoing education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Education and Experience
  • Clinical doctorate, masters, or bachelors degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Preferred: Minimum one year of physical therapy practice experience.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in Washington State.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of therapy theories and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with healthcare providers, managers, and patients.
  • Proficient in accurate and timely documentation.
  • Capable of independent judgment, critical thinking, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements

Includes frequent lifting and carrying of weights up to 35 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and occasional crouching. Vision, hearing, and speech within normal ranges with or without corrective devices.

Work Environment

This position offers 8-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek under a service contract. The role supports a mission-driven organization dedicated to community health and wellness in a rural setting with access to diverse recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, and nature viewing.
