Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using a mix of standardized assessments and behavioral observations.
  • Create tailored treatment plans aimed at fulfilling both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions covering aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop holistic care plans.
  • Guide patients and their families with educational insights to enhance their progress beyond clinical visits.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring that the continuum of care is maintained throughout the healing journey.
  • Keep accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Engage with ongoing learning opportunities through continuing education and collaborative sessions with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
