Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) opportunity is available within an elementary school environment in Naperville, IL. This contract position, scheduled for the 2025-2026 school year (8/25/25-6/5/26), offers the chance to support Pre-K through 5th-grade students in achieving their occupational therapy goals alongside a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: Deliver therapeutic interventions and activities tailored to individual student needs under licensed Occupational Therapist supervision. Collaborate with educators, speech therapists, and special education staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and maintain documentation in alignment with Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements. Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes student independence and skill advancement. Provide training and guidance to parents and caregivers to support therapy continuation beyond the school setting. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with occupational therapy best practices. Qualifications: Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA). Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and team members. Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to diverse student needs with flexibility and creativity. Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle caseload and documentation demands. Commitment to supporting the well-being and development of students with disabilities. Work Schedule & Location: Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Location: Elementary school in Naperville, IL Caseload: Pre-K through 5th grade This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the educational and developmental success of students.
