Responsible for implementing, organizing, and coordinating occupational therapy services for children (birth18) in outpatient and early intervention settings, and occasionally for adults when clinically appropriate . Provides assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based treatment targeting physical function, sensory processing, social-emotional and behavioral skills, self-care, daily living, and play; collaborates with physicians, families, and multidisciplinary teams including the Autism Center; and participates in diagnostic staffing, education initiatives, and program development while adhering to professional and system Operational Guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced pediatric occupational therapy assessments and interventions across outpatient and early intervention settings; support clients up to age 18 and, when appropriate, adults
Evaluate, plan, implement, and modify individualized therapy programs addressing physical, sensory, social-emotional, behavioral, self-care, and play occupations
Collaborate with physicians, families/guardians, and multidisciplinary team members (including Autism Center staff) and participate in diagnostic team staffing to inform evaluations and treatment plans
Develop and deliver education (e.g., Autism Education Series) for parents, schools, and professionals; supervise students or clinic staff as assigned
Manage time and caseload efficiently, document care per Clinical Records Department procedures, and comply with HIPAA and Quality Assurance processes
Support system needs such as data collection, program evaluation, grant development, and contract maintenance; attend required meetings and participate in self and staff evaluations
Seek supervisory guidance as needed and perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy required; masters degree required for graduates after 2007
Preferred: at least 5 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience and experience across age ranges and settings
Valid state license to practice occupational therapy required; NBCOT registration required; all credentials must be in good standing
Knowledge of occupational therapy professional literature and evidence-based practice
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to establish effective relationships via phone and in person; strong written and verbal communication skills for reports, documentation, and group communication
Ability to follow directions, accept supervision, and incorporate constructive feedback
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills; ability to adapt to changing job demands and take initiative
Mathematical skills sufficient for basic calculations as needed
Current drivers license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required (if driving is necessary for role)
Successful completion of background checks (criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect) required
Completion of New Hire Orientation and required training including Relias at the start of employment and annually thereafter
Physical Requirements
Frequently required to sit and stand for extended periods (24 hours); occasional walking for field activities
Frequent use of hands/fingers for writing, typing, mouse use, and document handling
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
