Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
- Experience with pediatric and school-aged populations strongly desired
- Knowledge of hearing aid technology, FM systems, and assistive listening devices
- Familiarity with IDEA/IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments, screenings, and evaluations for students
- Develop and implement intervention strategies for students with hearing loss and auditory processing disorders
- Collaborate with educational and support teams to integrate audiological findings into Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Fit, program, and troubleshoot hearing aids and assistive devices as needed
- Provide education and training to school staff, parents, and caregivers on hearing health and device care
- Maintain detailed records, compliant with federal, state, and district mandates
