Ideal candidates will have:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in school or pediatric environments preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement creative treatment strategies individualized to student needs
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation best practices
  • Strong organization and time-management skills

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the supervising Occupational Therapist in delivering direct and consultative occupational therapy services
  • Supporting students with fine motor, sensory, and self-care skill development within classroom routines
  • Collecting and documenting data to track student progress and inform interventions
  • Contributing to IEP meetings and implementing therapy goals in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
  • Preparing therapeutic materials and adapting learning environments to enhance student access and participation
  • Maintaining accurate records in compliance with district and federal requirements
