Desired Qualifications:
- Active COTA licensure in Kansas (or eligible to obtain before start date)
- Previous experience working with children or in pediatric settings preferred
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education practices a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to contribute effectively to a multidisciplinary educational team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in planning and implementing therapy interventions tailored to individual students needs
- Carry out treatment activities under the supervision of an occupational therapist
- Document student progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school and district policies
- Adapt materials and environments to support student access and participation
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, daily living activities, sensory processing, and self-regulation strategies
- Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and staff to coordinate care and promote positive student outcomes
