Your RoleAs a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on our acute care team, youll play a key role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. This role offers flexible, primarily weekend and holiday coverageideal for maintaining work-life balance.
Youll work closely with an Occupational Therapist to support patient recovery through hands-on care, collaboration, and compassionate communication.
What Youll Do- Partner with Occupational Therapists to assess patients abilities in daily living, work, and recreational activities
- Help identify physical, cognitive, and psychosocial factors affecting patient function
- Deliver targeted, age-appropriate therapy interventions to support recovery and independence
- Educate patients and families using clear, engaging communication methods
- Collaborate with the care team to adjust treatment plans and ensure the best outcomes
- Track patient progress and document care to maintain continuity and meet professional standards

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, Associate degree.
Connecticut registration required
Strong communication skills
Acute care experience preferred
