Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Albemarle, NC. Provide skilled home health occupational therapy to patients managing chronic disease, wound care, IV therapy, pleurx management, and wound vacs. The role requires delivering thorough assessments, OASIS documentation, disease-teaching, and individualized treatment to promote patient independence and safe functioning in home environments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active North Carolina state OT license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience. Home health experience strongly preferred. First-time travelers will be considered if experienced in home health.
- Experience with OASIS documentation and homecare documentation systems. HCHB (Homecare Homebase) experience preferred.
- Experience with wound care, wound vac, IV, and pleurx care preferred.
- Valid drivers license and proof of insurance required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using mobile documentation devices or smartphone-based clinical workflows, such as Samsung Note devices.
- Previous orientation to home health workflows and competency in field-based assessments.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 07:00 - 19:30.
- Typical patient load: approximately six visits per day.
- Orientation: five-day new employee orientation.
- Travelers must meet a 50-mile radius rule; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the home unit.
- Department culture: team environment. Scrub color: navy blue. Free parking available.
