Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required.
  • Active Missouri state license required. Compact eligible candidates acceptable where applicable.
  • Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required. Experience in long term care (LTC) or rehabilitation required.
  • Ability to utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions and to document per regulatory and clinical requirements.
  • Ability to supervise and support CFY or student SLPs.
  • BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
  • Must submit one professional reference at time of submission.
  • New graduates with Level II clinical experience are acceptable. Level I observation experience is not sufficient.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years experience holding active CCC is preferred.
  • Experience with documentation in electronic medical records preferred.

Assignment Details

  • M-F, 8 hour days. Times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with Director of Rehab.
  • Start time should be before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM.
  • No weekend requirement unless a holiday falls within M-F, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend.
  • 35 GWW.

Effectively screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders and develop appropriate plans of care. Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice. Assess patient progress, adjust treatments, and evaluate outcomes. Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers. Participate in required meetings, trainings, and documentation per clinical and regulatory requirements. Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics.
