Job Description
Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while working in an outpatient rehabilitation setting in West Branch, MI.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required. LARA must state Active Michigan/MI Occupational Therapist License.
- Minimum experience: Primarily acute care with some outpatient experience is required.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years are required.
- Work history and skills checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to Occupational Therapy, required for profile documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delegating and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants, aides, and students.
- Experience developing and documenting individualized treatment plans and goals using formal and informal assessment measures.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM; Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- 40-hour guarantee.
- Weekend requirement: No weekends.

Impacting Patient Care
This Occupational Therapist position delegates responsibility to Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides. Responsibilities are patient-focused and include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with occupational therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures. Typical duties include performing formal and informal testing to evaluate function; developing goal-specific treatment regimens; documenting plans of care and updating them as patient status changes; coordinating treatment schedules with patients, families, and clinical staff; educating patients and caregivers regarding conditions and interventions; and providing supervision for OTAs, aides, and students per affiliate and regulatory standards.
