Were hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Hyannis, MA where you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. You will provide ventilatory support, perform diagnostic procedures, assist with procedures such as intubations and bronchoscopies, and participate in multidisciplinary care to optimize respiratory outcomes. You will document care accurately in the EMR and collaborate with providers and nursing staff to ensure safe patient transport and airway management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Current Massachusetts state licensure in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Experience providing ventilator management, including initiating ventilatory support, recommending ventilator settings, lung protective strategies, and weaning.
  • Experience performing ABG draws and interpreting ABGs, bedside spirometry, and capnography.
  • Experience with airway management including endotracheal and tracheostomy suctioning and tracheostomy care.
  • Ability to monitor patients during intra-hospital transport and respond to codes and rapid response events.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Minimum one year critical care experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Experience assisting with bronchoscopies and conscious sedations.
  • Experience with non-invasive ventilation, aerosolized therapies, and airway clearance techniques (PEP, CPT).

Assignment Details

  • Shift Days: Monday through Friday.
  • Shift Hours: 0700-1500.
  • Standard hours per week: 40.
