Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join our travel Physical Therapist team in Texarkana, AR working in a home health setting. Provide skilled, patient-centered care to adults and older adults in their homes, evaluating function, developing and implementing plans of care, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and caregivers to achieve measurable outcomes. This role requires documentation compliant with CMS and agency standards, completion of progress notes and 60-day summaries, and participation in staff meetings and education to maintain clinical competence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Masters, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Arkansas state PT license required to start the assignment.
  • Home health experience required.
  • OASIS experience required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to complete patient evaluations and develop PT plan of care within state-specific guidelines.
  • Ability to travel within the agency service area including Hope, Prescott, and Texarkana, AR.
  • Willingness to provide visits across the agencys service area and to nearby agency locations as needed.
  • Schedule flexibility to participate in weekend rotation and potential holiday availability as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HCHB (Homecare Homebase) electronic medical record preferred.
  • Previous supervision experience of PTAs or home health aides preferred when permitted by state regulation.

Assignment Details

  • Shift Hours: 2000-0400.
  • Shift Schedule: Evenings.
  • Weekly Hour Guarantee: 32 hours per week.
  • Mileage reimbursed between visits from first patient to last patient.
  • Coverage Areas: Hope, Prescott, and Texarkana, AR.
  • No on-call or weekend requirement for this assignment.
  • Travel within the service area and to nearby agency locations as needed.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide evidence-based PT interventions to relieve pain, restore or maintain function, and improve patient quality of life. Communicate changes in patient condition to the nurse supervisor and physician. Complete required documentation per agency policy and CMS requirements. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and in-service education to support high-quality outcomes. Maintain licensure and continuing education to meet state standards.
