Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC) or eligibility for certification
- Previous experience working in school settings a plus, but not required
- Ability to develop and implement creative music therapy interventions
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and students
- Experience working with diverse age groups and backgrounds
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and develop individualized music therapy plans
- Facilitate group and individual music therapy sessions for students across grade levels
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate music therapy into students' educational goals
- Observe, document, and report on students progress
- Modify interventions and approaches as necessary to ensure effectiveness
