Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current licensure to practice as an SLP in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
  • Experience delivering speech and language services in a pediatric or school-based setting
  • Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students speech, language, and communication skills to identify developmental needs
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans (IEPs) based on each childs unique strengths and challenges

  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize students success in the educational setting
  • Maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and provide updates at IEP meetings
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and continuing education in pediatric speech-language pathology
