As a contract SLPA, youll work 33.5 hours each week, supporting speech and language services within an engaging and supportive educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois SLPA license
  • Experience in either school or healthcare settings supporting speech-language therapy
  • Comfort working with high school-aged students, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic about fostering student growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with the supervising SLP to support assessment, intervention, and documentation activities
  • Monitor student progress and report on outcomes, maintaining accurate records
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and observations
  • Support classroom teachers and other school staff to carry over therapy strategies
  • Engage positively with families and caregivers to ensure continuity of care
