Job Description

Key Responsibilities

* - Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.

* - Develop individualized treatment plans for communication disorders.

* - Administer therapy services for articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders.

* - Treat swallowing (dysphagia) disorders and eating difficulties.

* - Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies.

* - Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.

* - Consult with physicians, educators, and family members.

* - Educate families about communication disorders.

* - Maintain accurate clinical records.

* - Stay current with evidence-based practices.

Certifications/Requirements

* - Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required.

* - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field from CAA-accredited program required.

* - State licensure (Speech-Language Pathologist License or Certificate) required.

* - CPR/BLS certification.

Experience

* - Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from CAA-accredited program (2-3 years).

* - Minimum 400 supervised clinical hours (325 hours during graduate program).

* - Pass Praxis examination for SLP (score 162 minimum for ASHA).

* - Complete Clinical Fellowship Year (36 weeks minimum, 1,260 hours).

* - Pass state licensure examination.
