Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Long Term Care

Contract | Days | Onsite

• Implement components of patient care plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with stretching, exercise, and balance training techniques
• Collect and document data related to treatments provided and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary
• Communicate with patients and families to identify and teach appropriate at-home care techniques
• Safely transfer and transport patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area
• Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Washington
• Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience
• Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of start

• Experience working with patients across a wide range of ages and care needs, including post-acute populations
• Familiarity with balance training and functional mobility techniques in a skilled nursing environment

• Work in a long-term care setting dedicated to delivering personalized, compassionate post-acute rehabilitation services
• Collaborate within a supportive therapy team focused on enhancing residents' quality of life and functional outcomes
