Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity focused on early childhood education! We're seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to cover a maternity leave from September 3rd to November 25th. In this vital role supporting a vibrant PreK program, you'll provide speech-language services to both integrated and sub-separate special education students, making a true difference in their early development. Key Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current state SLP licensure or eligibility ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Previous experience working with PreK or preschool-aged students Comfort and skill serving both integrated (general education/special education) and sub-separate special education classrooms Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices Background in positive behavior management and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with students, educators, and families Responsibilities: Evaluate and deliver individualized speech and language therapy for PreK students with diverse needs Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to create effective, inclusive learning environments Provide AAC support and training for students as appropriate Implement best-practice approaches for behavior management within therapy sessions Maintain timely and thorough documentation, IEP reports, and data collection Engage families in the therapeutic process and share strategies to support progress at home This contract role offers the unique chance to empower young learners during a crucial stage of their communication development.
