Qualifications & Desired Experience: Valid certification and state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience providing COTA services in a school or pediatric environment Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related documentation processes Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising Occupational Therapist and educational staff Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Adept at adapting therapy techniques to meet individual student needs Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy interventions for students in accordance with IEP goals and current best practices Support students' development in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities within the classroom environment Collect data and document student progress, sharing updates with the multidisciplinary team and families as needed Assist with adapting classroom materials and routines to promote student participation and independence Work closely with teachers, staff, and the supervising OT to plan, implement, and monitor therapy interventions Participate in meetings, staff development, and relevant school functions during the assignment As a valued contract COTA, you'll play a vital role in helping students reach their potential while contributing to a supportive school community.
