Job Description
We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Snyder, TX. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain the skills needed for everyday life through treatment implementation, ADL training, adaptive equipment instruction, monitoring and documentation, caregiver education, and operational tasks. Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
- Active State license required to start the assignment. Compact license accepted.
- Minimum 2 years of OTA experience in a long term care (LTC) setting is required.
- BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
- Experience implementing treatment plans and documenting patient progress in a skilled nursing or long term care environment.
- Experience with ADL training and instructing on adaptive equipment.
- Ability to perform operational tasks including treatment area preparation and basic administrative duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with discharge planning or documentation of results (DOR) is preferred.
Assignment Details
- 8 hour days - 40 hrs guaranteed.
- Weekend requirement: None.
