Step into a rewarding, contract-based opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade. This full-time role spans approximately 12 weeks, beginning August 27, 2026, and offers the potential to extend. Your support will be vital across the district, covering an FMLA leave, and ensuring continuity of occupational therapy services for a diverse student population.

Qualifications:

  • Active COTA license/certification (CT DPH License and NBCOT Exam required)
  • Previous school-based experience is a plus
  • Experience supporting students with a wide range of ages and disabilities
  • Reliable transportation to travel between school sites as needed
  • Comfort working under OT supervision and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in student treatment plans under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
  • Provide direct therapy to students across all grade levels, adapting activities and supports to meet individual needs
  • Communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and inclusion
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation on services provided, student progress, and recommendations
  • Participate in meetings and school activities as required, offering professional insight into student needs district-wide

This assignment features a steady, full-time schedule of approximately 77.5 hours each school day (final timing subject to district confirmation). Youll gain valuable experience working district-wide, making an impact from early learners through high school seniors.
