The Music Therapist will:

Responsible for organizing and executing programs in Music Therapy to our pediatric patients and their families. Through the art of music, will assist patients, (birth - 18 years) in adjusting to the hospital environment by providing an alternative outlet for coping mechanisms and self- expression.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

• Proficiency in at least one music instrument

• Previous experience with children and play opportunities

• MT-BC preferred

• Skills Required: Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff (Child Life Specialists, Nurses, Physicians, Social Workers, etc.) Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain productive relationship with patients, families and hospital staff. Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact and communicate with diverse populations. Ability to prioritize and work independently with patients and families

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
