Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Travel Job

Were hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Bellefontaine, OH. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with breathing disorders. You will provide therapies and interventions per physician orders, department policies, procedures, and protocols. You will participate in multidisciplinary care communication and document patient assessments and responses to therapy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelors degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing. Must have an active OH license or compact license as required at time of submission.
• Completion of registry exam within one year of graduation.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP. Certifications must be through AHA and active at time of start.
• Experience using blood gas/co-oximetry analyzers, ventilators, BiPAP and CPAP machines, apnea, saturation, Hemocue, ECG and end-tidal CO2 monitors.
• Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, medication administration, aerosol therapy, airway management, airway clearance, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, and auscultation of breath sounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations in an acute hospital setting.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 5:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
• Weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend.
• May be required to float to other facilities within the region as needed.
