Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active PTA license in the state of Oklahoma is required at time of submission.
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required.
- Experience in long term care (LTC) or inpatient/outpatient rehab settings is required.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- New graduates considered only if they have Level II clinical experience, not solely Level I observation experience.
- Resume and skills checklist within 1 year required at time of submission.
- 01 professional reference required at time of submission.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience documenting in electronic medical records.
- Previous supervision or support of students under a supervising Physical Therapist.
Assignment Details
- M-F, 8 hour days. Times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with Director of Rehab.
- Start time must be before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM.
- No weekend requirement.
- 35 GWW (guest worked week) expectation.

Impacting Patient Care
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions per the plan of care under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Duties include therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, ambulation training, modalities, use of assistive devices, accurate treatment-minute documentation, participation in care conferences and utilization meetings, and communication of patient progress and barriers to the supervising Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist with discharge planning input, obtain necessary DME or supplies with supervisor support, and adhere to APTA and state practice acts.
