As a travel SLP in this role, you will directly shape the communication skills of PreK-1st grade students, supporting a caseload of 12-15 studentsprimarily speech-only cases. Experience working with dedicated professionals in a shared speech room, plus opportunities to familiarize with IEP software, further expanding your resume and professional toolkit.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP Endorsement
- SLP-CCC credentials preferred
- Previous school-based SLP experience or a passion for working with young children
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Familiarity with EasyIEP or similar IEP software is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and implement speech therapy services for PreK-1st grade students
- Manage monthly IEP minutes and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and share a dedicated workspace with other SLPs
- Potential to increase weekly hours with program growth
- Flexible to provide services onsite and possibly virtually
