MedStar Health is looking for a Physical Therapy Clinician to join our team MedStar Georgetown University Hospital!

As a Physical Therapy Clinician, you will participe in the evaluion and trement of pients based upon current principles and practices of PT. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulions and MedStar Georgetowns philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Primary Duties:

• Provides direct PT evaluions and re-evaluions, including assessment of prior and current level of functioning, setting approprie goals and making approprie discharge recommendions in accordance with standards of practice. Provides direct PT trements according to standards of practice, including pient and family educion, progression of trement plan and implemention of approprie therapeutic interventions.
• Utilizes approprie documention forms and abides by PM&Rs documention standards. Collabores with physicians, pients, family, and other members of the health care team relive to pient trement and progress and other affilied agencies. Actively participes in meetings, in-services, and rounds regarding pient care and/or departmental items.
• Supervises PTAs and rehabilition technicians. Coordines and prioritizes own schedule in relion to demands of pient trement and other departmental responsibilities.
• Participes in program development as assigned by PT Clinical Leader. Participes in least 10 contact hours of continuing educion programs or other opportunities for learning for continued professional competency. Provides least one yearly in-service to staff and/or community for continuing educion purposes.
• Adheres to all Department of Health and Joint Commission regulions regarding the physical environment and pient care.

Qualificions:

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.
• Physical Therapist Current D.C (District of Columbia) license or qualified candide for D.C. license as a Physical Therapist.
• D.C. License, be eligible for a reciprocity license, or apply to sit for the board examinion.
• BLS (Basic Life Support).
