Were hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Mount Clemens, MI where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. You will provide respiratory care services to patients who require emergency care, intensive care, therapeutic treatment, invasive and non-invasive monitoring, diagnostic testing and patient education for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders. You will monitor and maintain equipment and participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelors degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • Current Michigan respiratory therapist license in good standing. Not accepting out-of-state licenses.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Will accept Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) as noted.
  • 2+ years of experience as an RRT. Experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred.
  • Comfortable managing mechanical ventilators.
  • Comfortable interpreting and working with EKGs.
  • BLS (AHA) certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) credential required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior travel assignment experience preferred.

Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 18300700.
  • 36 hour guarantee.
  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend (Friday & Saturday).
  • May be expected to travel or float as part of assignment coverage.
