Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant license required prior to start.
- Minimum 2 years of PTA experience required.
- Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) required.
- Work history and skills checklist current to within one year, pertinent to the Physical Therapy Assistant specialty, required.
- Two supervisory reference forms completed with dates employed listed, required.
- Candidates must have a permanent address outside the facilitys 50-mile radius; local candidates will not be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy or hospital-based outpatient settings preferred.
- Demonstrated competency with manual techniques and common therapeutic modalities preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift schedule can be flexible with option to work four 10-hour days (4x10) or standard 40-hour workweek.
- Typical daily hours: 08:0016:30.
- Weekend requirement: No.

Impacting Patient Care
As a PTA you will perform physical therapy procedures and related tasks as delegated by a supervising physical therapist. Responsibilities include implementing selected interventions from the patients plan of care, modifying treatment in response to patient progress, documenting patient progress according to facility procedures, and providing individualized patient and caregiver education. You will function within the scope of the PTA Practice Act and adhere to the APTA code of ethics. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to motivate patients and provide compassionate care.
