Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active and valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, though strong Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a school setting with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs
- Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges
- Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student development and ensure continuity of care
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student services
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to support communication development
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school-based speech therapy
