  • Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that focus on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise synergistic care plans.
  • Educate patients and families to encourage meaningful progress outside of clinical appointments.
  • Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Keep precise and prompt documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing learning by staying abreast of advances in the field through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
