Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for a diverse range of patients, spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create customized treatment plans that focus on immediate goals and address broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that emphasize communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to establish cohesive care plans.
  • Provide essential education to patients and their families to facilitate progress between clinical sessions.
  • Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Commit to professional growth through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet acquired.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferably possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
