Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages using both standardized tests and personalized observation methodologies.
  • Design tailored therapy plans that target immediate needs while paving the way for long-term communication improvements.
  • Deliver engaged, one-on-one speech interventions focusing on all aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to cultivate a seamless continuum of care.
  • Provide valuable education to patients and their families to empower progress outside of regular sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy sessions, ensuring consistent care throughout every stage of the healing process.
  • Maintain precise and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements through ongoing professional education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Desired: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
