Description

- Craft customized treatment plans that meet immediate goals as well as ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to formulate integrated care strategies.
- Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuation of care through every stage of treatment.
- Maintain clear and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Commit to lifelong learning by staying informed on advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Education
- Possess a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successfully completed a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), should you not hold ASHA certification yet.
Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of employment commencement.
