Description

• Perform evaluations on patients ranging from children to the elderly, utilizing recognized assessment tools and observations.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that consider both immediate priorities and lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that focus on elements such as fluency, voice, communication, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care approaches.
• Provide education for patients and their families to foster progress beyond clinical appointments.
• Conduct occasional speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatient care, ensuring comprehensive and continuous treatment.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the field through continuous learning and professional networking.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an institution accredited by the relevant authorities.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified with ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting.
