Speech Language Pathologist Duration: 3+ Months (Extendable) Location: Syracuse, NY Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Job Overview: A healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract role with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, experienced in treating a variety of communication and swallowing disorders, and licensed in New York State. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Deliver therapy for speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing impairments. Educate patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members on treatment strategies and progress. Maintain a well-organized caseload and adhere to scheduling requirements. Accurately document assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and discharge summaries. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care. Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives. Participate in community outreach or educational activities related to speech-language pathology. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Current and active New York State (NYS) license in Speech Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology ( CCC-SLP ) from ASHA or equivalent Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Current AHA BLS certification Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance
