Speech Language Pathologist

UPMC Somerset is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. This full-time role supports both acute care and outpatient populations , offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a diverse range of patient needs. Responsibilities:

• Provide diagnostic and evaluative services for patients referred for speech-language pathology.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation including progress notes, evaluations, and treatment records.
• Coordinate scheduling and treatment programs for referred clients.
• Prepare diagnostic reports with recommendations tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies (e.g., OSHA, TJC, CMS) and maintain all required
• credentials (e.g., licensure, CPR, CEUs).
• Participate in staff meetings, departmental committees, and in-service education programs.
• Present educational programs and participate in community outreach as requested.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions.
• Support organizational policies, including HIPAA and the Corporate Compliance Program.
• Provide excellent customer service with a positive, caring attitude toward patients, families, and colleagues.
