Description
- Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using established assessment tools alongside observational methods.
- Create individualized treatment plans focusing on both short-term and long-term goals concerning communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Deliver focused one-on-one therapy interventions addressing various aspects of speech, language, articulation, voice, and swallowing.
- Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to devise comprehensive care strategies.
- Engage in patient and family education that empowers them to contribute to progress even beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic journey.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation compliant with state, federal, and facility regulations.
- Commit to ongoing learning and development through continuing education and collaborative efforts with peers.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
