Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for an elementary school setting serving students in grades K-4. This role spans the entire school year and requires a dedicated professional to provide critical support in speech, language, and communication development. Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments for students referred by teachers, parents, or specialists to identify speech and language disorders. The SLP will develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and treatment plans aligned with federal, state, and district regulations. Therapy will be delivered in both individual and small-group formats, emphasizing student progress and engagement. Collaboration with educators, families, and other service providers is essential to integrate speech-language goals seamlessly into classroom activities. The role also involves detailed documentation of student progress, maintaining records, completing reports, and participating in IEP meetings and parent conferences. Supporting students who require augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies may also be necessary. Ideal candidates will possess: A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state licensure as an SLP and/or Department of Education certification. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) credential. Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-4) in a school setting. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with a diverse school community. Ability to manage caseloads, data collection, and documentation efficiently.
